Robert Keniwell
Robert is a registered Social Worker with 15 years of safeguarding experienced across a number of disciplines, including frontline social work in Local Authorities across both children and adult social care, voluntary and sports sectors.
Robert has developed and delivered bespoke safeguarding training for a range organisations and settings including, health, social care, education, sports clubs, charities, arts, building and transport organisations. Robert is skilled at providing high quality, engaging training resulting in positive outcomes for delegates, organisations and service users.
Robert is an expert in Mental Capacity practice and has undertaken a specialist role in a Local Authority embedding mental capacity and deprivation of liberty knowledge and practice into children’s social care. This included the development and implementation of policy, practice and training, alongside strengthening relationships between adult and children social care.
Robert has held board level roles in relation to safeguarding for a national charity and a sporting National Governing Body.
Robert is passionate about safeguarding and mental capacity practices and is always keen for a challenge of how safeguarding fits into different sectors and supporting the development of knowledge, skills and confidence of staff and organisations.
